Disseqt has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IIIT Allahabad, formalising a partnership across talent, AI governance certifications, and academic research.

KEY TAKEAWAY

Disseqt has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IIIT Allahabad covering three areas: direct access to engineering talent, joint strategic initiatives around AI governance certifications, and a formal research and academic vetting channel for Disseqt's assurance work.

Disseqt has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIIT Allahabad), establishing a long-term partnership across talent, certification, and research. The agreement connects Disseqt's R&D operations in India with one of the country's leading engineering institutes at a point when AI governance expertise remains scarce across the industry.

The MoU covers three areas of work:

Talent. Direct access to graduating and postgraduate engineering talent from IIIT Allahabad, targeted at Disseqt's assurance, evaluation, and runtime protection teams.

Certification. Joint strategic initiatives around AI governance certifications, with the aim of building recognised, rigorous credentials for a field that currently has few.

Research. A formal research and academic vetting channel, grounding Disseqt's assurance methodology in peer-reviewed rigour alongside industry practice.

The partnership has deep roots. Three members of Disseqt's leadership — Co-Founder and CEO Apoorva Kumar, Co-Founder and CTO Manish Atri, and VP Partnerships & FinOps Anurag Ranjan are IIIT Allahabad alumni.

The MoU was signed alongside the institute's 21st Convocation, where Apoorva Kumar served as Guest of Honour under the leadership of Director Prof. Mukul S Sutaone. He shared the stage with Chief Guest Prof. Arvind A. Natu — Chairman of the Boards of Governors at IISER Kolkata and MANIT Bhopal, and a German Research Ambassador since 2007 and fellow Guest of Honour Prof. Bhim Singh, "Vigyan Shri" awardee and ANRF Professor at NSUT Delhi.

With this agreement, Disseqt's research base now spans two institutions on two continents: IIIT Allahabad in India and University College Dublin in Ireland, where the company is headquartered at NovaUCD.

Apoorva Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO of Disseqt, said: "This isn't a cold handshake. Manish, Anurag and I were shaped by this institute, and formalising that bond into a working partnership matters to us. We build the assurance layer enterprises need to ship AI responsibly and that starts with the people building it and the research validating it. Grounding our work in peer-reviewed rigour, not just industry practice, is how AI governance becomes a discipline rather than a checkbox."
